I'm rebuilding the front end of my '49. I ordered an original ball and socket rebuild kit. I have the tie rod out and have the ends taken apart and cleaned out. The problem I'm having is I can't get the tie rod end ball into the socket. Are there any tips or tricks to reassemble the original style tie rods.
I went with the original style over new style tie rods because I have them flipped under the steering arms and just easier- or so I thought. Thanks for the help,
