| | | Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 53 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 53 | I purchased a 1947 GMC one ton stake bed. The brake drums leak when you apply the brakes. I can't figure out what rearend I have. The truck is in good condition but the rearend looks alot newer than the rest of the truck. The brake drums don't look a thing like the shop manual. The axle housing has two slots 180 deg. from each other. Can anyone tell me what rearend I have and how to remove the brake drums?
