The oil bath air cleaner sucks a lot of oil fumes through the carb and gives off a lot of emissions. Found this out when I brought the 64 GMC for an Emissions check. We emptied the air cleaner of oil and the truck passed. I then modified the stock air cleaner and installed a paper element. I always carried spare oil for the crankcase when I had my 62 K10. The shop manual you need is from 1960 and you need the 62 Supplement to show you the few differences between those years. Never should have given it away! The accessory remote oil filter bolts to the intake manifold and the lines run into the block I believe. Never had one on my truck just change the oil frenquently.
