as BIG CHEVY says, a professional can be helpful, at least if the new glass gets broken it's not your fault
the TF glass can be very frustrating and no doubt it was at the factory, but note that there are checking procedures in the shop manual to see if the glass is the right shape before attempting installation - it could well be that the one you got just won't fit well on your particular truck, the Steele rubber should be A-1
note also that in the manual there's instructions on using a cord in the rubber slot that may work better than your hook , and the inner 'flap' piece is usually a problem to get laying well
