If it's before mid-'65, you'll have to swap axle shafts as the splines are different from the available lockers (17 vs 30). And if it's a '60-'62, you're out of luck with the stock diff. No locker being made for those at this time. Now, if you have the later 12 bolt 30 line, then there's several options. If you're wanting a true locking diff (like a Detroit) I'd suggest either the Lock-Right or Detroits easy-Locker. Both install in the stock case with vrtually no modifications. They're also relatively inexpensive.
