Interesting test on TV show last weekend, comparing effect on torque of different lubes. ARP assembly lube gave most consistent results, while others gave dramatically differing results. Most came up short on bolt tension the first time torque was reached, and increased to near required value on susequent torquings (is that a word?). Of course, the torque/tension rig was supplied by ARP.
