Just finished putting the back window in my '53 and it's not that hard. First I tried it by myself and got really frustrated. Then I bribed my wife to help hold the glass while I worked it into the rubber, peice of cake. Then came the retainer. It took a few tries before I realized you need to put one edge in first and then the other. Work in about 2 inch sections. Push your rounded tool between the retained and the rubber and slid it about 2 inches. then push it between the retainer and rubber on the oppostite side of the retainer and move the tool about 2 inches. While you are doing this you are holding the retainer very taught and close to the rubber. Once I learned the trick it took about a half hour to do the back window on my 5 window.
