I had a sticking valve on a freshly rebuilt head. The rebuilder didn't check for cracks and left worn guides in the head. The sticking was caused by antifreeze getting into the guide from a crack in the head. I doubt that yours has this problem.
It is quite a feeling to get one of these running after such a long time sitting, isn't it?
