I had a simiar situation. I got one from Rock Auto. It did not have the valve or a provision for one, and the tube where the valve would be came out in the wrong place, so I couldn't use it as is. I
got a NOS valve off e-bay for about $125. Took the new core and the old core to a local radiator shop and they swapped the end tanks. Works like new. A good shop could probably fab an end tank that works without the valve.
