You may have already done this, if not,
now would be a good time to inspect the drive gear on the distributor.
gear pic I bring this up because mine was loose and it was giving me fits trying to time the engine.
I ended up purchasing a replacement distributor from NAPA. They had one in stock for about $75.00+core.
I believe kits are available to re-pin the gear.
