I bought the adapter plate in case I ever need to change the motor. One detail that has not been mentioned here is to use the crankshaft pulley and the waterpump pulley from the 216, I believe. At some point the pulleys changed in diameter and mixing them can cause a problem. Maybe someone can add to this.
