I have a newly acquired truck and need to start ordering gaskets and fuel pump, plugs wires etc......
my problem is after cleaning the engine and asking question on this forum I have found out that my 1954 Truck has......
A 1953 " CAR " 235ci Block a 57-62 High compression head and a 47-62 4 speed sm420 tranny.
When ordering such things like gaskets,fuel pump,etc...do i order using 1954 Truck 235 as my guide and order parts from Classic trucks,lmc,Jim Carters etc. or do I have to go to a car catalog and order for a 235.

Is a 53 car 235 identical to a 54 Truck 235?
