Aloha my good friends! My Delux heater is in good working condition, but it just doesn't get hot enough in this -15 degree weather. It defrosts my windows, keeps the cab warm, just not warm enough to keep the wife and crib midget comfortable. I've got a thick piece of cardboard in front of my radiator, which helps a lot. I replaced the heater core, hoses, water pump, and thermostat this fall before the snow hit, so I am sure it's all good to go.
I was thinking of a set up like the 60-61 trucks had with the heating solenoid under the dash, the little coil doo-dad on the switch. Any ideas as to how I could go about getting more heat? The volume is good, it's just darned cool. Looks don't matter here, it's all about the creature comforts right now. Your input is most welcome cause this guy is gonna be cruising alone this winter season if I can't figure something out. -Will
