Changing the 235 engine in my '55 1st series to a 235 engine from a '60. The '55 is 6 volt and the '60 is 12 volt. I am changing the '60 235 engine bellhousing to use the '55 235 engine bellhousing. I have two choices. I can keep the truck 6 volt using the flywheel, starter with floor starter or I can use the '60 flywheel, starter and convert the truck to 12 volt. If I go with the 12 volt, I'll need to add a push button for the starter. There are some advantages in having a 12 volt system and some advantages in keeping the 6 volt system. Looking for some advise.
