| | | | Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 1,002 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2002 Posts: 1,002 | You should have two wire going to the coil, one from the ignition switch and one from the starter solenoid. The ignition switch wire is a resistance (ballast) wire and drops the voltage to the coil for longer point life. The wire from the solenoid provides 12v to improve starting at start only.
