I should have looked closer,it's good you don't have to disturb the lower hinge.

I learned the hard way Alan, in my 'formative years' I repaired a VW Beetle door and it was a mess to say the least!
I eventually gave up and replaced the door as I was sick of the lower edge seal catching on the running board rubber.

What was that, measure twice,cut once?

Still,as they say,you learn by your mistakes! wink
