Sorry, I am talking about the '59 Apache. There is a shaft, called the pedal shaft in the manual that has a grease fitting on it. It is the rotation point of the pedal that operates the master cylinder.
I have removed the rear line, the bolt connecting the lower part of the pedal to the master cylinder that pushes the piston, the two mounting bolts, and the retainer but the shaft seems frozen. I assume I need to reinstall the 2 bolts that hold the master cylinder in and bang on the shaft. My concern was the grease fitting may need to be removed first. Also, does it slide inward toward the transmission or outward toward the frame?
