The contacts are like the head of a rivet, the sweged end is what you see out side fastening the terminal strips to the phenolic board. Then there is a slider once the grease has dried up both of them start to wear.
I would direct you to my old Webshots album but I don't remember how to get there. I had pictures of the whole rebuilding process of the stock AD light switches.
