It's definitely a hauler and we have plenty of hills, may have to reconsider this. I use this truck for not only local hauling but also down the highway. It has to be able to do that occasional 300-400 mile road trip and 50-55 mph doesn't really cut it on the highway.

My 52 1 ton with 4.56 gears had no problems hauling anything I could fit in the bed, and had no problems with road trips either.

Sounds like you have a V8, does it have much more HP and torque? If so you may get by with 4.11, but then again might not?
