My 52 1 ton with 4.56 gears had no problems hauling anything I could fit in the bed, and had no problems with road trips either.

With a 235 engine 4.56 should be about right from my experience.
Sounds like you have a V8, does it have much more HP and torque? If so you may get by with 4.11, but then again might not?
