| | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 9,671 | The speedo needle turns in bearings and is coupled to the shaft by a cup and magnet. The odometer on the other had is mechanically coupled to the shaft. If the odometer is turning then I would say the grease in the needle bearings has turned to wax and is keeping it from turning. Either take it to a speedo shop or if your feeling adventurous you can open the case and try to free up the bearings.
