Deluxe Windshield Trim for 47-53 two piece windshield question.
I installed my windshield with new cut glass but with on original (in really good shape rubber) didn't realize it was for the deluxe windshields with Trim. I didn't even want the deluxe look, but anyway my question is. Will it "leak" if I don't keep the trim in there, it seems as if I need something in the groove to help keep the rubber tight to the cab. I thought of using lockbead, but the kind for these trucks is a little too thick to use in the groove. I did order stainless trim and yeah definitely have to take the windshield back out to install that, I don't want to do that at this point, so I am looking for another option. If this windshield comes out, I am using the standard cab rubber and going to use this deluxe stuff in another project. any help would be great and also should I run a sealer as well?
