I have a 54/3100 with a 235 with fenton headers and offenhauser intake. the rear end is a 79 nova with 2.73 gears and an s-10 5 speed trans. it does fine in fifth gear from 45mph on up on flat land. long uphills sometimes require 4th gear especially when i have the cruise control on.
