I have a 59' 1/2 ton with 235. The original locked up so I'm replacing with another 235 out of a 55'. I'm a total noobie to all of this stuff and having difficulty putting things back together (it came apart so easy

...the truck has the electronic water temp sender but the block (55') has a smaller hole. Was this a mechanical sender? Is there an adaptor to go to the larger 59 style sender?
