I think you will have to use an electro magnet. A magnet strong enough to pick up big stuff will be hard to remove the stuff because it will be really stuck. We have a magnet that roofers use to pick up roofing nails hanging on the back of our all terrain forklift to pick up stuff in our truck yard to prevent flats.
