The modern chrome plated wiper arms sold by most vendors are really just crap. I purchased a set that rusted & fell off several times even when not in use. I gave up & bought a set from NAPA. I bought a set of TRICO 51's(http://www.tricoproducts.com/brochure.cfm?brochure=225&location_id=10 )

These are made of unpolished solid stainless, no cheap chrome plating, they are adjustable for length & can be selected for right & left side use. You add your own wiper blades and can even buff them to a shine if you want.

Have not had a problem since.
