I don't have experience with a '37, but it's common to swap those engines. Remove the front engine plate on the 216 and replace the 235 front plate with it. It'll make the swap pretty easy. You should have no trouble bolting everything together. Check the Tech Tips pages for additional help. Swapping the front plate requires disassembly of the valve train and camshaft removal. Drilling the mount holes in the existing plate is waaaaayyyy easier IMO. See the tech tips for a template.
