I installed one of
THESE and thought I'd share the experience. BTW, the picture is upside down.
1. It doesn't fit. I had to trim about a half-inch off the right side to get it to lay flat.
2. The holes for attachment don't line up. I started by attaching the cover to the firewall through the hole in the upper left side, then located and drilled the hole for the upper right side. Look in the FAM to find the other holes used to mount it and locate and drill them. I used #10 machine screws rather than the flimsy plastic things.
3. Do not trust any of the pre-scribed locations for your heater. Mark the back of the cover through the holes in the firewall and cut your holes that way.
4. If you have a fresh air heater remember that the bracket with two studs must rest against the firewall, not the cover. I located the bolt holes, installed the heater temporarily to locate the bracket, marked the cover for the cut with four pieces of masking tape, removed the heater, cut through the cover with a Dremel tool and re-installed the heater. The manual says to cut two 1 3/4" holes for this but I cut square holes just large enough for the brackets.
5. BTW, It's flexible enough to install with the steering column in and actually comes rolled up so don't expect some rigid piece to arrive in a large box.
