I am installing a/c in my 63 chevy 1/2 ton soon and have a question about altenators. It has a 40 amp externally regulated alt. and im thinking about buying a 80 or 100 amp alt for it. I have a dual electric fan set up and maybe a third pusher fan for the condensor, just depends on the high side pressure for the third fan. Should I switch to internally regulated or just buy the external 100 amp? I've heard its an easy switch, not really sure if Im going the right direction with the externally regulated alt. thanks for the input. I dont really care which way I go just want the best solution for my trucks electrical system with the extra load
