tlorber,it's the bnm45049 shifter for an s10.I had an old broken shifter from a 1966 chevy truck i use to own.I incorporated it into my t-5 shifter.I cut the 1966 shifter in two places.First cut was just below the threads for the knob.I wanted the b&m knob and the threads are different than a 1966.The second cut was 8 3/4" off the bottom of the 1966 shifter.I used a caliper to determine where to cut the b&m shifter,so the 1966 shifter and the b&m where the same diameter when welding together. The shifter is about 23 1/2" from the top of the base to the end of the shifter knob threads.

46forme,i can take some pictures of the front of the crossmember, but it looks like the rear of it.I know it only bolts into the frame one way,it's slightly tapered.I drilled a hole on top side for the mount stud to slip into.I then drilled a larger size hole on the bottom side, welded a large washer to it,so a 15mm socket can tighten the mount nut.The mount is bolted to the quarter inch plate i welded in.This is what i thought up,never done it before.Do you think it's ok ?

I ground my welds down, heated and bent it,then primered it tonight.I installed it to see how it felt.I have'nt drove the truck yet,but it feels good just sitting in it and going through the gears. You could actually use a stiff wire or a coat hanger and bend it to get your heigth. This was all trial and error for me.

Here are a few pictures of it.

Hope this helps.
