Hey Peggy. It was good to see you, John and the other stovebolters at the Midwest All Truck Nationals at the Argosy Park in Riverside, MO. My son, Cole, and I had a great time. Attached are a few pictures of the 1966 Chevy K10 we recently finished. It has 57,000 original miles. It was a rust-free, dent-free truck when we started the complete frame-off restoration in November of 2009. It has power steering, factory power brakes, factory A/C, big back window, 283 & 4 speed.
With a passion for the factory-correct trucks from '60-'66, I focused on doing this one, as factory-correct, as possible. Although the 4x4 trucks did not come with hub caps, I modified a set of chrome dog dish hub caps to fit the front wheels & clear the front hubs. It has all the correct factory stickers & decals, as well as, a factory underbed spare tire carrier with a NOS spare tire chain, factory jack, tire iron & jack handle under the driver's seat and the factory build sheet in the seat springs.
I have a number of other 4-5-6 Chevy trucks in the shop, at this time, waiting for their turn. I am working on a '66 Chevy K20, that will be factory-correct, as well.
