Neil, Is your 1940 a long or short bed? If I understand correctly, You have another torque tube rear end, and you want to know if it will work.
I know S. F. is a bit of a drive too, but I will be getting rid of my 1940 3/4 ton gmc rear soon. I believe this to have the 4.56 ratio, but have not confirmed. It is 6 lug, just like the 1/2 tons.
