Have 1953 3100 converted to 12 volt. Still using 6 volt fuel gauge. Installing votage reducer between gauge and ignition switch. The reducer is just a little ceramic block with a tiny wire with no insulation coming out of each end. What is the proper way to connect this in line? Just twist wires together and use heat seal or what? Thanks
