ordered a new push rod to replace the one bent one that resulted from a timing gear failure. to be kind, the new one is less than impressive. so i have spent a few hours attempting to straighten the old one. it now rolls as straight as all the other push rods but i am wondering if i am just fooling myself into believing that it is just fine or if i should just put the new one in and run with it?

the old rod was not bent significantly but it was obvious that it took a hit.

thoughts?
