Langdon reccomended a pair of Carter W-1's. These are small bore from the late 40's. I picked up a couple of rebuild kits from the Carb King. (He will take the time to make you feel confident) There are alot of small screws that required and impact driver. And not too many unknown pieces left over
One thing or two to consider is the mount flange for your carbs. If you have a 235 and opt for an Offenhauser dual, the flange mounts are for to the original Rockchester (large). But they will probably be too large a throat for your application and should consider carbs that went with a 216. You must have the flange holes on the manifold welded closed and then rebored and threaded to accept the closer spread of mounting holes for the smaller bore carbs. This will add about $100 bucks to your project to retool the manifold.
Then there is the the story of intake manifold meeting exhaust manifold. But that's another story.
