My father (Rod) was a farm adviser for Mendocino County in Ukiah, Ca. He received his Chevy 3100 truck June 28, 1957 and would use the truck to go visit local farmers to advise them on what to do with their land. In August 1962, dad bought the truck from the county when they retired it. Dad used the truck on our vineyard as well as back and forth to work. The truck got its "UNKLROD" name because dad was known in town as "Uncle Rod."
My sister, brother and myself all learned how to drive a stick in this truck.
Dad drove the truck up until 2005. When he passed away in 2007, he gave the truck to me. I spent the next 3 years restoring the truck back to the original condition.
