The upgrade modern tie rods that the chevy parts vendors sell are not tapered. You pop out the old ball and you end up with a straight hole. i second that. on my 3 inch dropped axle, i went with modern ford tapered tie rod ends, and they go in from the bottom with the castle nut on top. leonard | | |
