They don’t seem to have any trouble finding replacement cartridges at the local FLAPS. Eliminating the hoses and a direct route for the oil flow to the filter makes more sense to me. It’s easier to change the filter and clean the canister because the horn and fuel lines aren’t in the way. I’d like to find one for my truck but haven’t had any luck.
That said, if one is restoring for points then it’s incorrect and not a suitable stand-in for the AC accessory filter.
