Hey Chipmunk, Pulled engine out of my 58 gmc even though it runs like a clock decided to pull it out to deal with motor mount issues. pulled valve cover and from the looks I doubt it has had an oil change in 25 years. The odomiter shows 213000 miles and the guy I got it from tells me the PO use to drive it to work from Dinwiddie Va to West point va every day. So I figured he wore the original engine out and that's why the 235 is in it. Guess he wasn't into oil changes though.
It is going back in. It has virtually no ring grove in it and ran so sweet. The main reason I decided to pull it is because I wanted to put all new seals and gaskets in it. So now I guess a rebuild is in the works. So much for driving it this fall.
