The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop Will 57 passenger car tranny work in a 59 truck?

I'm not sure on that, there may be a length issue, however, the original truck driveshaft will work fine with the car trans.
BTW, I have an overdrive version of that trans from a '55 wagon, with a few parts from a Power Pack equipped '57 convertible, in my '55 3200. Works like dream.
