Ken,firstly welcome, Tim's right on the money, the aftermarket quality can leave a little to be desired.
You'll also hear stories of ill fitting windshields too.
Don't ask me how I know!
As far as the rubber seal is concerned,it's an industry standard 1/4" X 1/8" Claytonrite rubber that uses either a black or 'chrome' lock strip.
You can buy this by the foot.
It was and still is used commonly in many old vehicles.
Many auto glass shops that deal with 'older' vehicles should stock it.
