I have a question about corner glass for the deluxe cab.
I am rebuilding a 1954 Chev Long Box 3600, I wanted to replace the glass all the way around, but I have ran into some issues concerning the corner glass.
I have been dealing with LMC for all my parts, great place to deal with btw, but they did not have corner glass or the rubber for a 54, they only had corner glass and rubber for a "1947 - 53".
I checked around the net and almost every other place (private and business) I found were selling glass for a "1947 - 1955" so I started to think that maybe these corner windows LMC were selling would fit into my 54 truck.
Well I took a chance and ordered them and when they arrived I compared them to the old ones and they are in fact a little different.
From side to side they are a 1/4 " shy but they do appear to be the same shape only with less of a curve in the glass.
I have put them in the rubber and quickly positioned them and they appear to fit, I have a lot more work to do before I place them in for good, so I don't want to sit on something that will not work for me.
So I guess my questions are will these windows work and the other adds I have seen are they some sort of after market windows that are a universal measurement between the 53 and 54 dimensions?
