True, its a personal choice, but no matter how much jingle I have in my pockets,I am always looking for the best deal, which means the best price.Out in my shop is a large tool chest, filled mostly with Craftsman tools. They have been used and abused over the years, and they are always ready to take on any job. There are a few SnapOns,and various other brands that I have aquired over the years at garage and yard sales. They are no better or no worse than my Craftsman tools, and oh yeah,my tools have definitly been used.I have done most of the major and minor repairs on my vehicles, and always managed to keep em running.I purchased my first set of Craftsman tools in 1957 for $39.95 plus tax. They are still out there in the tool chest, minus a couple that have been lost.My whole point on this subject is why spend a lot of money on something that can be purchased at a lot lower price somewhere else.Doesnt make much sense to me.By the way I have been doing mechanical work for many years,I am not a kid.Good lord willing I will turn 73 here in a few days.
