I have seen a thread about this, but didn't answer my questions. Would it be possible to run a manual clutch and SM420 bellhousing on the NV? I am going to get one from a 1 ton 2WD Chevy with either a 350 or 454. Are there any spline differences on the input shafts? It is going in a 283(HI-TORQ), and want to make sure it will mate directly up to this engine, no adapter plates. If I need to have the hydraulic clutch for it to fit, so be it. I was just wondering. My 64 is geared nasty as it is(super-low 1st, 5.14:1 rear end) and does 55 in 4th at about 3000 RPM with half the pedal left. Overdrive is my main benefit here.
