Avette - that's what i read on 'newer' forums, but i wasnt sure if it applied to these trucks.
Hotrod Lincoln - Love the name, I've got an '86 towncar... Also read that, is there a specific length the slave push rod needs to be? I made a custom one and adjusted it until it felt right because I couldnt find exact measurements.
51 ashton - I've searched the disk and plate, couldnt find a thing, no instructions in the box either.

"If it was a new clutch, you are probably right.
Did you change the pilot bushing?
Did you replace the throw out bearing?
Did you use an alignment tool?
Did you inspect the front shaft of the transmission for bad bearings?
Did you install the dust pan? I've seen rocks get in and wreck clutches before.
and last but not least; Did you treat it like a race car?"
It wasnt a new clutch, but the disk and pressure plate showed very little wear. It was 40 thousandths of an inch thinner than the new one. In order.. yes, yes, yes, no, no(cant find one), and no (BUT it is my first car, making it my first manual too, from what others have told me, I dont drive like an idiot or poorly). I dont think it was a rock or anything because I was going 6mph in a parking lot. wouldn't rule it out though
