For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 797 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 797 | Fuel gauge has not worked since I purchased the truck Spring 2009. All other gauges in cluster work. It is still 6V. Sending unit was replaced prior to my purchase. Float in sending unit was pulled and it does float as designed. Wiring has been examined and is correct and does not appear to be an issue. I AM BANKING ON THE LACK OF INSULATOR CITED EARLIER AND WILL ORDER KIT FROM L.M.C. IN THE A.M. Will attempt the other trouble-shooting at gauge posts as suggested if that does not do the trick. Could gauge cluster/chrome bezel and contact in dash panel be an issue of concern? | | |
