So i am changing my oil today on my '57 235 with aftermarket cannister on the manifold...got home with the Rotella oil and a new Napa #1100 filter and when I pulled out the old filter it is not the same. New Napa filter ia 4" diameter and the old one was 4.5" (WIX-51100). The old one fit flush in the canister....while the new Napa one has at least 1/4" space from the sidewall. Was the wrong filter in there to begin with??
