The 1954 (and '53 Powerglide ??) automobile distributors can work on 54-62 trucks; however, the mechanical advance springs/weights might be different, and the geometry of the vacuum advance units are different.
I think I remember correctly that the pre-54 truck 216/235 distributors are different from the 54 and later distributors (but, this might just be the cap and rotor). Maybe someone who knows will clarify this. | | |
