Unbolt the axle flanges & pull them out a little. Remove the rear cover. Remove the drive shaft. Remove the nut's off the studs holding the pumkin in. Put some old boxes under it & shove it out to fall on the boxes. Disregard if you are working on a lift. Clean all gasket surfaces. The gasket for the pumkin mount is real thin paper. The one for the cover is thick cork. New gaskets are available for the axle flanges or you can use RTV. Mount the replacement on a jack & reasemble it all. Those dudes are really heavy. Fill it to the plug level with 85-140 gear lube. It takes about 6 pint's.
