Jon - if you mean the "mechanical" gauge, with a fluid/gas filled capillary tube, it's not easily DIY repairable, although there's some
instructions here and there are places around that rebuild them, or useta be .... so no, it can't be soldered, and while it's not necessarily ruined you'd prolly be better off trying to find another unmolested gauge
