Joe H is right, the gas of today is CRAP. What I do with my truck (same year and carb)is with the ign. off push the starter pedal for a few seconds, then switch on the ign., pull the choke out full, pump the gas pedal 3 times and push the starter pedal. If it dos"nt start, pump the gas pedal 1 or 2 times more and try the starter again. I do this every saturday in the summer.
